As I was working through this wedding, I thought I’d take a minute and confess a guilty pleasure of mine…
One of my favourite parts of photographing a wedding is the bride getting ready. I’m a girl, so I’m totally drawn to those delicate moments where the dress is hanging, the shoes are placed and the hair is held tightly in curls waiting to let loose. There’s something about those moments that holds a calm before the storm and I love photographing it all so the bride can remember it and share her version of the day with the groom later.
Here’s a few of those moments I took last weekend as an example of what I mean.

Taylor - It’s totally my favourite time of day to shoot too. I can feel the anticipation and it is always a challenge to shoot it – plus big window, directional lighting… always good. It shouldn’t be a guilty pleasure. Just a pleasure!!!
