So Hard

Earlier this year I was inspired by Rihana’s video for So Hard and decided it was time to do an army themed shoot.  Once again I recruited Carrie Tibbs from Beauty Marked (www.beautymarked.ca) for makeup and we found our model, Vanessa, who ironically enough actually has music video experience appearing in Belly ft. Snoop’s video for Hot Girl:

I’ve always wanted to shoot at the abandoned Kodak Theatre off Photography Drive near Toronto and I thought it would make the perfect backdrop for this shoot.

After some on site makeup:

We got started on some shots around the building:

After a quick wardrop change, we headed to a building on the property that looked like it had been torched…and I loved it!

One more wardrobe change we like to call Amy Haute Couture.  This “dress” is actually camouflage purchased from an army surplus store in London.  The talented Carrie fashioned this dress with fishing wire and scissors – check it out:
